The Tap

The Tap is a charming property recently reopened after extensive restoration. This semi-detached two story cottage, adjacent to the hotel, has a fascinating history as a drinking establishment known as The Tap Inn in the 19th century.

With three double bedrooms, the cottage is ideal for up to six guests and suitable for sporting groups, couples or families with children.

Amenities include a wood-burning stove and flat-screen TV in the living room, a well stocked kitchen with comfortable seating for eight and three en-suite bedrooms. The spacious and relaxing living area will be perfect for chatting with friends after a long walk in the surrounding countryside or whilst swapping stories of the fish caught on the famous River Test.

There is a small courtyard space to the rear of the property, ideal for our canine guests.

The cottage has its own entrance on the High Street with its independent shops, cafes and galleries only a stone's throw away.

The Tap Cottage is booked on a self catering basis. Guests can either prepare their own meals, or enjoy dining in the Hotel as they please.

There are various hire periods available from a short three-night getaway, through to a longer family holiday and everything in between. A charge of £25 per dog per night applies, payable on check-out.
